Can anyone recommend one in London or Cambridge vicinity? Don't mind if you want to message me. Thanks.

Not in your area but check out the website below. We found ours via this website, got a couple of quotes etc first. Was pleased with our advisor.

St James place had excellent advisors

evertonmint · 22/01/2014 13:01

We've just started using St James Place too - only had initial meeting but so far so good.

rpitchfo · 30/01/2014 12:41

just out of curiosity - what do people use financial advisors for? I can't see myself ever having enough money to warrant one but i find it interesting

Notmadeofrib · 03/02/2014 18:58

st James Place are not even independent advisers!

Shells · 05/02/2014 17:23

What do you mean Notmadeof? Is it because they only recommend certain products?

They don't pick from all products offered by the market and often only offer SJP products!

Shells · 05/02/2014 18:39

I've had a not great experience with one, so interested in others experience.

What do you need advice on shells?

I'm in London and know other London advisers. Fee based or adviser charging.

Lonecatwithkitten · 05/02/2014 21:30

Atkinson Bolton Consulting in Newmarket, they have won a whole host of awards from Money Marketing for the quality of their advice. They are independent whole of market IFA's as opposed to St James Place who can only advise on their own products.

Oh thanks Lonecat - I appreciate that. Notmadeof - I'll message you.
