She's eight and I'd like a account with a pass book recording entries, dead simple, no frills.

My DS has one with the Nationwide Building Society. We registered him as a non tax-payer so he gets the gross interest.

Oh, I should add, it will only be very small amounts of money that will be going in and coming out. I doubt she'll ever have more that £100 in it.
