OK i want to know, for a friend, a fathers rights after divorce please

His wife has been shagging his friend, its such a shame, she is also surfing internet swingers sites, god knows what else he has yet to discover

he is terrified if he leaves his wife the court will let their son live with her, in Ireland, where his wife is from, and he will never see his son again

I'm fairly sure she cannot take the child overseas without his permission, he needs legal advice very quickly to put a legal stop on it though, but as it is Ireland there may not be such an issue... I'm not sure.

nope, highly unlikely to be honest, you would have to prove her pretty unfit to get custody awarded away from her. And thats not to say any parent would be better than the other but they rarely take children away from their mothers esp younger ones.
He should be able to get access rights written into divorce docuemnts though I think?

so basically, he has to stay with his wife who is shagging about, to have any decent contact with his son and to make sure she doesnt take him away back to ireland
