Car Insurance with Bad Credit ???

Hi,

I need to know if car Insurers can actually accept monthly instalments if they credit check you and you have bad credit? Me and my hubby have always paid by DD / monthly instalments, but now as we come to get a new policy, our situation is very much different, and our credit scores are in a pretty dire situation, however no CCJ's or IVA's. I read on another site that people have in fact been accepted to pay monthly even when they have CCJ's, and the like, but these posts are a few years old.

Has anybody been in this situation, or have any experience / knowledge of it ? It would really help to know, before I start ringing around insurance companies?

I used to deal with home insurance for a high street bank and never had anyone turned down for monthly repayments based on their credit history, would presume car insurance is likely to be the same.

When I had an IVA I paid monthly for car insurance. Paid in one go this year but only because I found a cheaper deal that I could pay all at once. My credit rating is still shot and I pay monthly for other things.

Thank you guys for your replies Grin

Managed to sort it today, via Adrian Flux, who we've been with in the past and had no issues with Smile
