Is it ok that one of us attends mortgage re-application?

My husband and I got 3 month mortgage offer and it was expired before buying completed. So we have to re-apply the same mortgage. All other conditions are the same except we add the mortgage fee to the mortgage. I'm away at the moment for 1 month so the bank advised my husband to attend the appointment alone to complete the application and bring the application document where to be signed by me. Then he would submit the application. It will shorten 2 weeks and the seller has found a chain free property. Should both of us still attend the appointment even though taking 2 more weeks or is it ok for me that my husband attends alone and I check the document and sign?

As long as you trust your husband then that's fine, I frequently used to do applications with only one partner present.
