Bankruptcy and Liz Jones?

I read not too long ago that Liz Jones' accountant had told her that she was going to be made bankrupt -- anyone know if that happened? Reason I'm asking is that I thought if you could show that you had reasonable earnings then you could stave off bankruptcy, and seeing as LJ reportedly earns annually a 6-figure sum then surely creditors would avoid that path?

Who cares? I thinks she so self indulgent and a bit pathetic.

It all depends on the amount owed vs the amount of assets and income. Bankruptcy may be the best option for someone who has no reasonable chance of meeting their financial commitments and, if the debts (or tax bill etc) are very high, even a six figure salary might not be enough to cover the shortfall. I've no idea about Liz Jones specifically but, if she does go bankrupt, she wouldn't be the first on a high income to have to downsize and eat some humble pie. Thinking of people like Kerry Katona and even Michael Jackson.

You can search the insolvency register here

As Liz Jones is such a common name, and I don't know if it is her real name, she might be quite hard to find. However, you can quite easily find Kerry Katona, as that is a much more unusual name.
