Does she have her last payslip? Usually the year to date figures are the same as the P45 figures

Has she got her last payslip? Details from p45 will be on there if she has a cumulative tax code. Otherwise contact employer for copy or statement of earnings.

Logan - is she sure she needs it if she's self-employed? I'm self employed and don't have a P45. Has she only recently started her own business?

P45 not needed if going self-employed initially.

If doing fer Self Assessment Tax Return will need the figures to complete the employment page. If P45 lost can she get copy from ex employer or, as has been said up thread, last payslip?

As a last resort she could try calling in to local HMRC, with Tax Return, (so they know she is the person concerned) explain the situation and they may give her the figures (I used to!)
