Inheritance from FIL - what happens if we divorce?

I have been with my husband for 30 years - married 20 - soon to separate. Would my husbands inheritance from his father (a commercial property) be counted as part of our joint assets to spilt?

Potentially yes, assuming the bequest was made in the last 20 years. If you have a solicitor, they can advise.
