Removal Company Cost ?

How much did you pay for Removal Company services ? I have been quoted 400 and 450 and 500 + Vat for moving small 2/3 bed house (locally).I think its to expensive. What do you think ?

we were quoted £900 for 50 mile move. hired a van and did it ourselves, no way we could afford that. Pain though.

it sounds cheap when you consider you're paying 2(?) people's wages for the day plus van plus insurance. and that insurance alone is worthwhile - we hired a van too last time, and then I pranged it and cost us roughly what the removal company would have cost. bum.

Sounds similar to what we were quoted 3 years ago. We had a small 3 bed terraced house moving less than 5 mins drive away.
