Bit of a long one, sorry. I pay Eon £130 pm for combined fuel. In July they informed me that despite this, my account was £477 in debit. They suggested that I up my DD to £200 pm, a ridiculous amount. I paid the debit amount immediately, and emailed to say that I wanted my DD to remain at £130. I got a reply, thanking me for the payment and confirming that my future payment would remain at £130. Checked my bank account on Thursday, only to find that have taken £200 after all! Emailed asking them to rectify the situation, but have had no reply. I am incensed!

DDs often end up lagging behind instructions and fuel DDs lag behind any changes in usage. I don't think any of the fuel companies have got it right. The only lasting solution is to pay each bill as it comes rather than a fixed amount every month.
