Another childcare vouchers thread (sorry! ) - can someone answer my q's

Sorry!

I start maternity leave on sept 2nd. Dc3 is due on sept 16th.

Dp will apply for childcare vouchers once baby is born and have the £243 taken from his wage each month. So does this mean that it will start at the end of sept or from October?

Also baby will not be starting nursery until march 3rd. So am I right in thinking that dp can 'accrue' the vouchers until the baby starts nursery and use this this saved amount for the first couple of months payment for nursery?

I will be applying through work for vouchers once I return to work in march.

Does this all sound like it makes some sense or am I clearly not understanding the function of vouchers at all?

You can accrue vouchers before child is in childcare.

Whether it will come out in Sept or October - depends how quick your DH sets it up and how quick the nursery/childminder does their bit I would think.

I am sure you can get childcare vouchers while pregnant too.
