Income support

I applied for income support at the start of may when my hours at work dropped to zero (zero hour contract). I was away on holiday for a few weeks during which time my letter came through to sign and post back. They didn't receive till the 1st week of June but I've still not had a confirmation letter. I had a payment into my bank last Tuesday but it was half of what I was expecting (back dated to my initial claim in may) and I'm wondering what to do now. I'll phone them shortly to see what's said, just wondering if anyone has any experience of how it works?

Did you receive a wage when you dropped you work to zero hours this would be taken into account on your claim. So if you received a months salary at the beginning of may this would averaged weekly and taken into account for a month.

An ok, that will make sense then. I got a small wage that was the rest of my annual leave.

Thanks for answering Grin
