Claiming for misold PPI

Have you made a claim? I want to make a claim for our mortgage PPI, we were told we had to take the insurance out if we were having a mortgage, but don't know who to contact. I've looked at some of the many advertised companies but they all take a % of your payout. Anyone have any advice that has already claimed?

Go on money saving expert, you can get the template letters there and claim yourself. No point paying a fee to a company when it's easy to do it yourself!

Claim it yourself. No need to contact a company.
I've claimed just over £1,500 in credit and store cards back fom PPI being mis sold.
I just wrote to them giving as much detail as possible, and went from there.
Some of these companies charge 40% Shock that would have cost me £600 of that total, which all in all cost me a few stamps and envelopes, and maybe a few phone calls.

I had a look on the Martin Lewis website and found the forms I need. It seems pretty straight forward so fingers crossed!
