Can anyone recommend a good kids account. I remember when I was young I had a wonderful account with the woolwich building society and was always recieving free gifts, magazines etc. My daughter is 1 and we have a child trust fund but would like to open another account with not just a good rate but hopefully lots of freebies!!!!

halifax Save4It has 4.9% interest atm and is the third best account on the high street according to Which. I'd go with interest rates rather than free gifts and magazines personally!!

Halifax also do the regular saver at the moment. You must put in £10/mth at least and a max total of £1200. Only problem is it only lasts for 12 months and then reverts back to the save 4it. Worth having for the 12 months at least.

Yes, I've just opened a Halifax reg saver. You get 10% interest, a free money box and a calculator. We also have a coop bonus a/c which gives you a free money box. We get a pencil case (?!) when they turn 7, annual bonuses and other freebies when they get older.
