PPI claim - Ombudsman said yes but bank still say no

Anyone had this and any idea what this means in terms of next steps and likelihood of DH getting his money back?

The bank can appeal as its likely your case was looked at by an adjudicator and they can then request an ombudsman (so more senior) look at the case. But after that my understanding is that the decisions is final (up to a limit of I think £100k). I would suggest contacting the individual from the ombudsman that dealt with the case about this so they can follow up with the bank. If necessary they may pass on to the regulator (who can take action against firms refusing to pay ombudsman awards).
