Does anyone know if you can claim any other benefits if you are currently in full time work but are due to go onto maternity leave?
I know it is going to be a real struggle and thought I would check it out.

Any advice would be great

I don't think you can as technically you are still employed and should be receiving SMP from them.

I only get SMP child benifits are £68 p/m and tax credit are £109 based on this years earnings.

there is a website called entitledto.co.uk (I think) you enter your earnings and it will work out which, if any, benefits you can claim.

I have a feeling I cant claim anything but will check out the website anyway1 Thanks guys!

you have to be on a low wage to claim maternity grant which is around £500 I think. No harm in applying for it.
