when I can't do a balance transfer to a 0% card. I imagine it is because I haven't been in my current job for long enough :( never usually had trouble getting credit.

is there usually a time limit that you need to be in a current job for this to be accepted? Should i get a loan instead?

Check your credit score for free with one of the credit expert websites (don't forget to cancel the subscription). They will give you a breakdown and tell you how to improve your score. Don't apply for any more credit until you've done this. If you're declined for a card you may be declined for a loan as well.

thanks, just registered with experien and i seem to be low risk, interestingly the card I applied for (Lloyds) wasn't one of the recommended cards to try but they did give me 21 others. lots to think about. thanks
