What paperwork should I keep

I have loads of it.

Do I really need to keep it?

I have savings accounts, isas etc, a lot of which are online.

Same with bills.

Could I just keep one piece with account details on for each or is there a reason I need to hang on to statements etc.

if it is something to do with your tax return, you are supposed to keep it for seven years (!!). Put each year into a folder, put it in a plastic box in the attic and each year, shred the oldest one.

otherwise if it is personal, not business:
for bills, keep the last year or so, shred the rest.
for savings accounts, keep some paper evidence of what you have and how much.
otherwise turn off statements - for accounts with lots of movement there is no need for paper if you run it online.

That sounds like a plan.

Will break out the shredder!
