Pensions??? a long time ago............

I worked for a hospital in Reading, i worked there for 5 years 1991-1996 anyway i had a pension with them. Can i get that back or have i waited too long and they will no nothing???

I think if you pay in for more than 2 years it is frozen and you can't get money back. It is just invested til your retirment age. I'd ask their pay office who the provider is.. hth??

thank you, can i not move it to a different provider or is that one of the questions i would have to ask them????

You'd have to ask them. I think they can sometimes have a transfer value.

not sure love. I think they just stay as 'retained benefits' I'm not really up to date. You could always see an Independent Financial Adviser. As long as you give them authority then they can look into it for you. Most don't charge if you are placing business with them as the insurer pays them commission
