credit record question please

Has anyone ever got an adverse comment removed and it so how?
Via the credit record company or the complaining company!

You can add a comment to the file itself but to have it removed it would be the company as they would then update all of the credit reference agencies. What is it that you want removed?

Long and boring story I believe my mobile phone company has decided that I owe them 10 pounds!!
(I paid by direct debit for over 10 years then cancelled then carried on the direct debit for 3 months, then phoned them to check I could cancel it they confirmed I could so I did but they have decided I owe them 10 pounds)

I plan to email the chief exec and make an appointment with my MP because I am really quite pissed off about it and am at a loss as to what else I can do!!

It's worth having a note put on your credit record because then companies will be unable to automatically use the rating without checking the note.
