Weeks, sorry.

I had to apply for one last year and it took about 3 weeks for the offer letter to come through, then after I signed and returned it another 2 weeks before the money was paid.

Are you eligible for a Sure Start maternity grant?

You have to have been on Income Support for over 26 weeks for a Budgeting Loan, if less than that you'll need to try for a Crisis Loan instead.

Angry on your behalf btw, what a shit way for him to behave. Is he helping you out at all?

No can't get a meternity grant as I have a 1 year old. Yeah I no about the 26 wEek thing. I have been on it for longer but wen I called about the maternity grant I was told I was able to claim wen I had the paper work signed off by the midwife she at 28 weeks and she told me to double check that I could get it so I called them and was told that I was no way eligable but they sent me a community care grant form and a budgeting loan form out. That's why I only just applyin for them of I new previosly that I would not be able to get maternanty grant I would have applied before. Would have been nice to not have been told 2 different thimgs lol x

Oh how annoying! Hopefully you will have some stuff from your 1 yr old you can use for the new baby? But then with such a small age gap the toddler will probably still need stuff like the cot etc.

kayleighouise · 27/01/2013 18:54

No he moved in with his new gf abroard and hardly has contact with my 1 year old and nothin with the baby. I fighting him in court at min as he thinks he has the right to wen ever he comes back he should be able to take my 1 year old oUt and up to now its been 7 months since he saw his child.
