Pension tax relief?

I'm a partner in dh's company and also teach. I'm paying 40 pc tax on all my teaching money plus paying out for child minder, petrol etc.

I love teaching and think I'm good at it but really resent working so hard for so little. I could easily go back to being mum who goes to the gym (very little difference in income after outgoings) but love my work.

Can I put earnings into a pension and save tax? Any other ideas? At the moment there's absolutely no incentive to work.
