ppi claim rejected

Hi, my ppi claim has been rejected twice by the bank concerned. I did actually try to make a claim on the ppi so was aware that i had it, but was told i couldn't claim because of the policy didn't cover self employed people.

I can't believe they've rejected it!

I was thinking of taking it to the financial umbusman. Do i just send them a copy of the same form i sent to the bank?

Has anyone does this and found it worthwhile?

Thanks.

Lots of advice on moneysavingexpert here.

There are all the forms you need on there too - just print off and fill in.

Can i send the same form or does it have to be a special one?

Just go to the fos website, all the info you need is there.

To be honest I'd be surprised if they uphold it if your bank have rejected it twice but there's no harm in trying. It can take a long time though, fos have a massive backlog.

Most ppi policies did actually cover self-employment but only in the event of liquidation. It would have been hidden away in the t's & c's somewhere.
