working tax credits and last 3 months of maternity leave

I'm on maternity allowance, and so won't receive any MA payments during months 9-12 of my maternity leave.
Will working tax credits stop during this time or continue?
Thank you for your time.

I'm pretty sure they will continue because you are still employed, just on unpaid leave

I would call them to double check tho

Nope you cease to qualify for them after you have taken 39 weeks. After 39 weeks you are expected to claim different benefits.

Wtc disallows ma I.e they don't count it as income but for tax credit purposes you are classed effectively as unemployed ( more like just not in work) after 39 weeks
