ok, i know i am spendaholic, and need to stop. i have over 8k of unsecured debt. most of that was from before Peter fell ill, some of it is due to spiraling costs with him being in hospital. All payments are being met, but now dd2 dla has stopped (we are going for reconsideration), tax credits will go down (not sure how much by) and i could well have screwed up massively. I can clear over 2-3k straight away if i sell my car and my collectin of bears. But Peter says not to, as we wont get their full worth. But i dont know what to do. I am pulling the belt in as much as possible (all i need to buy for the next week or so is veggies, milk and some bread ingrediants.) and will be ebaying anything that stays in one place too long. but I am so annoyed that i got too complacent again. Its so easy to bid on things without thinking and paypal it. i want to shut down my paypal account but i dont know if thats possible. DD2 could well be reinstated within 11weeks(!!!) but i know they could just refuse it totally.

I dont know if i want advice or just a rant.

Blimey £52k, how scary! Glad you're sorted now.

Blu · 20/04/2006 12:34

frillyblouse - how nice of you to pop-up with such invaluable advice - do you work on commission?

rickman · 20/04/2006 12:50

Actually I thought that as soon as I'd posted. Blush Could almost be an advertisement, couldn't it?

spacecadet · 20/04/2006 13:05

have emailed mn about this poster, who has also started a thread in legal and money matters, blatant advertising.

oliveoil · 20/04/2006 13:20

RIGHT!

I have said time and again not to start arguementative threads when I am not here.

Whether you realised I was off work yesterday painting the playroom is neither here nor there, desist from this behaviour forthwith.

All inflamatory threads are to commence between the hours of 9am-4pm, Tues to Thurs, unless I am off work and you should realise this due to my absence.

FGS.

Blimey, what a thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My advise misdee, would be, as long as you are able to pay all your bills each month, and you are not sinking further into debt, then it is under control, so for the forseeable future, try not to worry about it, you have so many troubles, I dont think debts you are able to pay is worth the worry. Hopefully in the near future you will have less worries and can then concentrate on becoming debt freeSmile

Bozza · 20/04/2006 14:10

I am Shock that someone has posted that link. And under a different name.

SaintGeorge · 20/04/2006 14:22

A troll Bozza, reported to MNHQ for that post and another thread.

ruty · 20/04/2006 14:45

but it was zebra who posted a link to her website, was it?

expatinscotland · 20/04/2006 14:54

no, it was 'The GodFather' or summat.

another reason why i never keep websites, blogs, etc. better to make scrapbooks for peeps!

SaintGeorge · 20/04/2006 14:57

Sorry Bozza I misread your post when you said 'link', I was referring to the delightful post be frillyblouse.

Have no idea who TheGodFather is/was.

jmum6 · 20/04/2006 15:08

I'm not sure whats going on now.

misdee and nutcracker argued and made up, then zebrama came on and had a go.

Then someone posted a link to her website? Was it her website? Was it her who posted it?

Then frillyblouse's posts been deleted, was it the one about the 52k debt? Why was it deleted? And why does that make it a troll?

This has more twists and turns than the average soap!

Bozza · 20/04/2006 15:10

Still wonder if the link to zebra's site should be deleted....
Who is the godfather?

spacecadet · 20/04/2006 15:11

frillyblouses post was deleted as this same poster started a thread using the same post, it was obviously advertising.

CHICagoMUM · 20/04/2006 15:12

Can't answer your question about zebra, but the frillyblouse post was deleted (on this and another thread) as it pretty much amounted to an advert for a particular debt company. I wouldn't have consider him/her a troll as I thought a troll was someone who posted primarily to cause trouble.

SaintGeorge · 20/04/2006 15:16

OK, I withdraw the term Troll.

frillyblouses was someone who posted an advert on the boards, without paying for the service, whilst pretending to offer help.

He/she also posted a further thread on the same subject using the same wording.

frillyblouses was not a troll, simply a bloody nuisance.

Better?

spacecadet · 20/04/2006 15:16

frillyblouse wasnt a troll, just after some craft advertising.

expatinscotland · 20/04/2006 15:17

that's why i never keep online blogs or websites.

the web is a public domain, after all.

if someone posted a link, and it's a public site, they haven't done anything wrong.

spacecadet · 20/04/2006 15:17

or crafty!!!!

ruty · 20/04/2006 15:18

yes, just wondered if the godfather was a troll or just another regular user with a different name. Never mind! Smile

jmum6 · 20/04/2006 15:19

Right I see, I'm up with it all now.

I must pay more attention!

Thankyou
