ok, i know i am spendaholic, and need to stop. i have over 8k of unsecured debt. most of that was from before Peter fell ill, some of it is due to spiraling costs with him being in hospital. All payments are being met, but now dd2 dla has stopped (we are going for reconsideration), tax credits will go down (not sure how much by) and i could well have screwed up massively. I can clear over 2-3k straight away if i sell my car and my collectin of bears. But Peter says not to, as we wont get their full worth. But i dont know what to do. I am pulling the belt in as much as possible (all i need to buy for the next week or so is veggies, milk and some bread ingrediants.) and will be ebaying anything that stays in one place too long. but I am so annoyed that i got too complacent again. Its so easy to bid on things without thinking and paypal it. i want to shut down my paypal account but i dont know if thats possible. DD2 could well be reinstated within 11weeks(!!!) but i know they could just refuse it totally.

I dont know if i want advice or just a rant.

I'm confused again.

Is this Zebra who has posted on here for ages ??

Socci · 19/04/2006 18:39

I think so

lucy5 · 19/04/2006 18:40

I think we need Suzy!

nutcracker · 19/04/2006 18:40

Oh, she never used to be nasty did she, or did i miss something huge ??

SecondhandRose · 19/04/2006 18:40

I bought a bloody playhouse and no one ever went in it, they preferred a sheet and a couple of chairs. Hey but that's another story.

Try to organise your debts Misdee but don't think they're sorted and then add more to them something I expect we all do.

I would say try not to buy things until you've saved for them rather than paying over the odds in catalogues. Summer is coming and the bootsales are starting. Ours is really good at Great Amwell (opposite Van Hage's garden centre). Do some buying and selling on Ebay.

HTH

Socci · 19/04/2006 18:42

more controversial and outspoken than nasty IIRC but has upset quite a few people in my relatively short time here.

nutcracker · 19/04/2006 18:47

Yes didn't really mean nasty, couldn't think of the word i wanted.

So who's is that website then ?

zebrama · 19/04/2006 18:48

My friend's wife arranged for many of his organs to be donated, misdee, someone got the heart the same day they turned off his machine.
I hope Peter gets sorted soon.

rickman · 19/04/2006 19:01

Sorry to hear about your friend Zebra.

That is Zebra's website, not sure why anyone would need to link to it though, unless they were stirring of course.

jmum6 · 19/04/2006 19:01

Am I missing something here? Whose is the website? Is it zebbys?

misdee · 19/04/2006 19:11

(i smoked under stress, one day i thought i dont want to be a wheezing stinking smoke bag so gave up)

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 19/04/2006 19:13

i'd love for DH to give it up, but he smokes roll ups and he found someone who sells it black market, so i suppose he's done his part to cut the cost of his habit Wink
