Anyone recommend a site for me to trawl trough?
And is \link{http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/sa100.pdf\this the form you would fill in at the end of the year?} Totally clueless, please excuse my ignorance, but I cant see anywhere on it that say I earnt X so have to pay Y tax...HELP!

This looks like the form I have just received so I'd say that's right.

The pages you have linked are just the main pages of the tax return. You also need the self employment pages which are separate and give you space to add in your self employment details and expenditure and income - it's really straightforward when you get it.

i.e. when you get the self employment pages! sorry am all over the place and can't speak properly today!
