Can I remortgage if dh is in temp employment?

We have mortgage in joint names. We would like to remortgage so that we can build an extension. The problem is that dh is in temporary employment via an agency. He has had constant work all year (mostly with the same firm) - will this prevent us from remortgaging? Is there any other way to release equity (mortgage company is not offering further advances anymore)?

I don't know - but for my last 3 mortgages I've used London and Country.

They're a no-fee independent broker. (Recommended by the Guardian / Observer).

They will be able to let you know if they can find anything suitable for you.
