if my 16 year old son gets a job, do i have to tell tax credits?

Is it then included on household income?

Is he still in education full time? If so and the job is under 24 hours per week then no you don't need to notify them see here

oh thanks Rock chick - googled and couldn't seem to find any info!

Yes he has just turned 16, and got a part time job, holidays, weekends etc only a few hours a week.

Don't get massive amount of tax credits - only the child element, but thought i had better check.
