Auto-enrolment employers with less than 5 employees

I read somewhere that the pension reforms re auto enrolment don't apply to employers with less than 5 employees. I can't find where I read it & now am wondering if I imagined it?! Can anyone shed any light?

I'm afraid you imagined it. It will apply to all employers, but the larger ones are coming on stream first so employers with fewer than 50 employees will not come on until 2015 at the earliest - Rockchick's link has full details.

Auto enrolment for small employers is years away.
Company I work for are suggesting to members to do nothing until a year before their enrolment date as so much will change between now and then.

For employers, RTI starting on April 6th is going to be a MUCH bigger change.

Small employers has been extended now to 2017.

No, it depends on your PAYE reference number e.g. if the last 2 characters are 92, A1-A9, B1-B9, AA-AZ, BA-BW, M1-M9, MA-MZ, Z1-Z9, ZA-ZZ , 0A-0Z, 1A-1Z or 2A-2Z it is June 2015.

according to the FT today even families employing a nanny will be impacted and potentially from 2015.
