Nationwide want to charge me £25 to do it by swift and as i only want to send about £70 this is not viable.
Do paypal do inter nation money transfers does anyone know? Or is there any other way, other than cash in an envelope?

TIA

£25 sounds pretty standard, I think Western Union are usually slightly cheaper than banks if only sending a smaller amount?

try www.easyexchange.co.uk. Standard fee is around £5 (can vary from £0 - £8 and exchange rates are good compared to the banks and Western Union. Only drawback is that it can take a few days to complete their identity checks but if you are likely to want to send money to Aus regularly they are the best I have found.

There are also shared pre-load card options - let me know if you want to know more (we have always found easyexchange a better route).
