hiii.. i'm currently looking for work and had an interview tonight at Argos which i really want the job!

Sat through the interview and then he told us they were starting off as 5hour contracts but there will be a lot more hours than that and i put down 16-24 hours for my housing benefit and still have time to spend with my daughter...

I was just wondering where i would stand as far as benefits go with them doing a 5hour contract to start? Could i take the job?

any info would be much appreciated thanks a lot x x

You can work under 16 hours & still claim
JSA. You keep the first £5 of your wages & they take the difference between JSA & wages. If you are still claiming benefits your Housing Benefit shouldnt be affected.
