Iv been in a new house nearly 2 months now our community care grant has messed up and could be another month before we get it! We haven't got the finance to carpet our living room and I have bad credit rating from teenage mistakes is there any loan I could get out my little girl is 6 months and I need carpet before she starts crawling! It's going to cost about £350 .-£400 for the carpet. Thankyou

I would like to buy a house in my village. It's going to cost £2.2 million. Thank you.

I think your best bet is to wait for the community care grant to come through. I know it must seem like forever to wait but the kind of credit that will be available to you with a poor rating will be astronomical to pay back and put you in debt difficulties, which would be rubbish in the longer term. Can you lay down a rug or blanket for your daughter in the meantime?

It's just so frustrating its their fault it's messed up but we're the ones suffering! Wev got a rug and her play mats but I'm just worried as it only covers half the living room the rest is concrete and she could get ill crawling on that :/ thankyou for your reply

What is a community care grant?

I doubt she will get ill from crawling on concrete, 6 months is quite young to be crawling anyway.

You can buy huge rugs off eBay for really cheap. Smile

If you get an off cut of carpet it shouldn't be as much & then get a carpet layer to fit it for you rather than through the shop. All my children crawled at 5 months & didn't object to any surface so don't worry!
