Has anyone found a reputable company to pursue this - I'm a bit wary about using a company after receiving those dodgy random phone calls from companies touting for business. So also want to know whether anyone has gotten any rebates by doing it themselves.

But inspired by the fact that I've just found a small pot of money that I forgot about I'm realising I'm a bit dopey in the money dept and think maybe I'm missing a trick...

Any thoughts / advice greatly appreciated.

Don't think any reputable companies do this. It's like the dodgy tax reclaim ones. You only give them the same details as you'd send to the original company. Do it yourself.
But please-don't say 'gotten'. It's not a real word.
