Change of dates?

Hi I did my tax credit renewal over the phone last week and I am due to get my payment tomorrow as its always a Thursday 4 weekly. Today a lump sum has been put in - could this be a one off or could it now be a Thursday they add it?

I was sure our payments would go down just with the way things were not an extra payment. If the payment today is our new payment well that's a whole other nightmare as its almost half of what we had before :(

Just wondered if anyone knew if they did change payment days or not? Thanks

I think it's to do with the bank holiday in Ireland, so payments are being sent a day early

Even though child benefit was paid as normal yesterday? And we are in scotland? I suppose only have until tomorrow to wait just impatient I suppose

Tomorrow is the bank holiday, so yesterday's payment wouldn't have been affected.

Ah right well my aunt just said she had hers today too so it must be my new award. thanks for replies
