Sorry, might not be posting in the right place...

Just a quick qu. If I was to start a new job (am already pg), will i be entitled to MA as I won't get SMP?

I don't understand it all. Sorry - being a bit thick I think.

I think you need to work 26 out of 66 qualifying weeks in all jobs so you probably will if you've been working.

It depends on previous work history. It's quite easy to fulfil the earnings and quailfying employment conditions. To simplify, you must have worked approx. 4 months in the year before you go off on maternity leave. E.g. If you're due beginning of February 2013 and you work until mid January 2013, you must have 4 months or 13 weeks of employment between December 2011 and Feb. 2013. There's also a minimum earning requirement but it's very low.
