Say you work 37 hours per week and 48 weeks per year?

I can't work it out! Am having a silly moment.

about £14 an hour

It could be £13/hour..... 25,000 /(37 x 52) ... if the terms cover a 52 week year with four taken as paid holiday.

insancerre · 30/06/2012 12:58

yes, forget about the holidays

An easy estimate for full time is always to assume there are 2000 hours in a year (although I think it is actually 1980 or similar). So £20k = £10/h, £25k = £12.50/h.

Just did the sums. 1820-1965hpa depending on length of day. Assume 2000 then round up a bit...

£25,000 / 52 (weeks) / 37 (hours) = £13.00 per hour
