So, years ago I had a loan with Direct Line with (I think) PPI.
The last payment was made June 2006.
Paperwork for the loan has long gone, also bank statements from 6 years ago are no longer with us.

Managed to get the bank to confirm when the last payment was made but they claim they can not get the loan agreement number from their system.

Direct Line couldn't find me when I rang them, so sent them a SAR with all the details (name and relevant addresses), which they have now sent back to me saying they have no record of me at all.

Does anyone have any ideas what to do now?

Which has free letter templates which can produce and send off to them. They should defiantely be able to find it from 2006, we have just gone through the process with a couple of loans and credit cards from 2004 and 2005 and they found the details OK.
