What happens if you cant make your monthly payment,

DH had 3 weeks off work sick and hasnt been paid for them just statutory sick, we havent got the money to meet the monthly payment, what do we do in this situation?

Is this a mortgage payment?.

Regardless of what it is talk to the lender concerned.

I would hope they would be sympathetic given the circumstances.

If its a mortgage payment and you've been with them a while, they should be understanding, they may let you have a total break, or just make an interest only payment.

you need to talk to whoever it is the payment is for. explain the situation and come to an agreement about how it will be resolved.
don't just not pay

thanks, DH is going to ring them tomorrow to see if they will let us have a break for a bit.

phoned bank this morning and they are giving a month off and we dont have to start paying until 31Mar . Phewww
