Recommened cashflow software?

Can anyone recommend a good programme to help with cashflow?

I find it difficult to manage the timings of things to make sure there is the right amount in the current account at the right time.

TIA

I always recommend Microsoft Money Sunset Edition. Free Download here It's not a programme supported by MS any more but it 'does what is says on the tin' and I've used it for years, very successfully. I haven't yet found a replacement that I think does the same job.

Set up your accounts and their balances. Then set up all your Direct Debits, Standing Orders and other regular payments. You can even set up a budget amount for cashpoint withdrawals, groceries, petrol and other frequent items that aren't exactly the same each month. This all takes some time so a quiet Sunday afternoon is recommended! Then all you have to do is update it whenever you spend some money on top. Balance your accounts once a month or when you get a credit card statement and everything purrs along nicely

Once set up, when you select the cashflow function it takes your current spending, budget amounts and DD/SOs and gives you a graph showing the balance over the period of time you select. You can quickly see where you'll dip into the red. Arrange to transfer in some money from savings or spend less and you can avoid incurring annoying bank charges.

I have full MS Money. Let me know if you want it

Thank-you.

I have looked at both Sunset and .... something else (forgotten which!)

I have redesigned my own XL spreadsheet and I think I've cracked it.

I sort of hope not as it leaves an alarming lack of funds until payday Shock but I think my own weirdo system will now be sufficient.
