Is or has anyone having the same experience as me? Joined DFD nearly 5 years. This november 2012 was suppose to be the last payment been ticking every month off for 5 years so admitted was slightly excited that it would soon be over. In the 4th Year we knew that our mortgage would be looked at to see if we could remortgage and give them the equity. This was not successful but then out of the blue got a letter saying because it was not successful they would be extending our payments for another 12 months!! Am absolutely gobsmacked i dont ever remember reading that this was going to take place if the remortgage was not successful but apparently it was a clause the creditors put in if we could not remortgage. Like i say has anyone had this problem. After 12 months are we gonna be hit with another extension. ???

Hi slavemother

I understand that this has come a shcok after you expected it all to be over.

But DFD should have explained this to you at the time of the original creditors meeting. It was a standard modification that creditors reequested in the event of not being able to remortgage.

Do you have the original chairmans report? It should be on there
