Thinking about this for my DS when he turns 11 , you get a debit card with it and there isn't an overdraft facility but call me dumb if he uses the debit card to buy something can he not still go overdrawn if he doesn't have enough money and what subsequently will happen?
Has anyone any experience of this?

You cannot go overdrawn with debit card. If money isn't in the account you cant spend it

Even if you are in a shop or on the internet ? - I've never tried to go O/D on my debit card so I don't know - how does it work do they just decline the card?
