Only got £500 left to pay off, want to really clear it by Easter. I'm hoping transfering to another card with 0% interest on balance transfers will help.

Have you checked comparison sites like moneysupermarket?

headfairy · 02/02/2012 16:35

I have Cogito, but my eyes just glazed over at the billions of different options it slightly freaked me out

Barclaycard are offering 22 months on balance transfers at the moment. Virgin money are next best with 20 months interest free.

If you want to clear £500 by Easter.... i.e. in 3 months from now, you'll be paying approx £170/month. The interest you'll pay between now and April will be about £25. If you transfer the balance to a 0% card you'll be charged around 3% ... £15. Is it really worth going to the effort of transferring your balance to a new card just to save a tenner?
