To break it down I usually spend
around £10 on Nappies, Cleaning stuff, household (loo roll etc etc).
£6-8 on fruit and veg (go to the market - bring back more fruit and veg than we can eat some weeks for that )
about £10 on 'basics' (milk, cheese - yes it's a basic in our household LOL, cereals, bananas, jam, peanut butter, flour - for the bread, ham etc etc)
£10-12 on meat (usually have vegetarian only once or twice a week)
Then up to £10 on 'extras' for the meals I'm cooking, soy sauce, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, beans etc etc.
This week we're having
Toad in the Hole
Mince and Dumplings (with kidney beans and alsort of extras thrown in)
Roast Chicken
Chicken Buritos (using leftover chicken)
Homemade Pizza
Soup (using all the leftover vegetables, and chicken stock made from the carcass).
