Funding for retraining - grants etc - any pointers?

Hi, dh is thinking of retraining as a lawyer. The course fees are v high and we are looking at ways to cover it including career development loans - he'd do it part time while working so we could pay mortgage etc but not the £8k a year course fees.

Any ideas for where we could apply for help?

I've thought of relevant guilds and a couple of local charities. Where else?

Does he already have a degree? He could do a postgraduate conversion course if he does, this can be covered by a graduate loan.
