When does something show up on your bank statement? Think theres something on mine that i didnt do

Theres 17 something on my bank statement from homebase that id yesterdays date. I wasnt at homebase yesterday. And I used my credit card when i was on Jan 1st...help !!!!!

or can anyone help me work out where store 575 is..thats the number that on the statement.

Ring up your bank and tell them the transaction was not yours. They'll be better able to tell you where the transaction took place. I take it you do still have all cheque books, and debit cards i nyour posession??

but if it was a switch payment - it could have gone through late? or was it a different amount?

couldn't have been DH could it ? (my DH has a card from an account that is norminally joint, but is actually mine - he used it by mistake - there was no money in it and it went overdrawn - and cost us £60 in charges [ - he no longer has the card !)

The date on your statement doesn't necessarily correspond with the date the transaction took place. In fact, something from Monday could well have yesterday's date on it. Have you got your card receipt which will have part of the card number on it to double check? Also the receipt might have the store number on so you would know if 575 was your local one or not.

I did shopping onChristmas Eve, and the switch transaction showed up on the statement as being the 29th of December. It could be because of the bank holiday.

ive got a £29.99 payment gone out of my account that im not sure about and the details have come up as something i dont recognise - dh is going to phone bank in a minute too.
