Need some help desperately.

I need to remortgage as current mortgage is coming to an end in a few months but have received a CCJ in 2007, will that affect me getting another mortgage?
otherwise credit is excellent.
any advice appreciated.

I believe it could but I'm no expert. When I renewed my mortgage with the same bank there was no new credit search so maybe if you stay with the same provider.

Banking benchmarks have changed since 2007 when the credit crunch happened. They are taking fewer risks and customers are being checked more closely. If you stay with the same provider you may not have to re-declare your circumstances but it's not guaranteed.

One thing I would suggest is that you don't rush to act. If 'coming to an end' means that you're going from a fixed rate deal to their standard variable rate, check out what that means in practice before remortaging. The base rate is very low still
