Hello,

I am using a company called Gregory Pennington at the moment to repay debts. Have been using them for about 3 years. I realise now im paying them fees and they could be going elsewhere.

Can any of you think of an alternative to using them? I have just split up with my husband. We both have debts in the plan but I wil be telling him to deal with his own soon!

TIA.

The CAB. They'll write all the relevant letters, get the best deal for you and you won't have to pay a penny to any bastard-making-a-fortune-out-of-desperate-people debt company.

Do it quick before the gov't cuts back CAB's. You Know It Makes Sense.

You need to carefully check the wording on your contract with Gregory Pennington. It may not be straightforward to rescind the contract.

Definitely get advice, either from CAB, CCCS or the National Debtline. If it's a joint debt plan and the contract covers both of you, you won't be able to do very much solo without your husband's agreement.

never pay money for this - CAB, cccs and national debtline offer free advice and service. No-one should be making money out of your debt problems.
