BT Contract termination charges

Am being evicted as landlord wants to move another tenant in. No fault of my own.

BT want £90 to terminate the contract as it does not expire until dec. Am going into temporary accomodation so no chance to transfer it to a new address. This is unfair. Can I just refuse to pay? Will they take me to court over £90?

could you not just explain the situation and ask them to put the account on hold until you find a new house, tell them you still want your phone/internet with them, and as soon as you have moved into you new place you will want to resume your current contract.

They can freeze your account/contract temporarily while you are in temp accommodation.

I'll give that a try. Smile
