DH is a sole trader with no employees. How do I show the money he has taken out for his wages? I am using the Sage Line 50. Can anyone help please

use code 3000 - i think its named "ordinary shares" but you can rename it "DH" wage etc and then put all his wages through that code. Then when your accountant or yourself come to do the end of year books you know how much has been taken etc.
hope that helps. let me know if you dont understand

Seems to be named Share Capital - would that be the correct one?

yeah that would be fine. it would just mean by being 300 code it would end up in the balance sheet part of the accounts which is what you want.
